Crossbill Crow
Spotted this guy along the cycle path at the Warriston Crematorium area. As well as being partly leucistic (as many Edinburgh crows are), he has a more significant mutation, which is referred to as ‘crossed-bill syndrome‘. It seems to be quite common in birds, and I would be inclined to suspect it was the origin…
Buchanty Spout 21 September 2018
An early visit, after missing most of them last year when they all seemed to go up in September, and getting good water height following big rain, 2 days previous. Decent numbers leaping. All shot with an 85 mm f1.4 IS lens.

Graffiti
‘Graffiti wall’ at Chancelot Mill, which was totally rebuilt following the tram works steamrollering the first one. Then strange plaques under the bridge at Warriston Gardens. Then the rebuilt and repainted wall at Chancelot Mill.
