A day with Jimmy, looking for mayfly feeders. A few on dries and one on the dap.

Ten of us spent a week of fishing Lochs Arkaig, Shiel and Lochy for ferox with wet fly. Thankfully I caught one! Some of the fish caught by others on this trip, and other trips to these waters can be found here.
Several sequences of the take and the lift – with mixed success. A few small trout and one grayling.
The weir at the old gunpowder works has finally given way.
A fat brownie picking off early season olives. Pity about the branches in the way! First one without polarising filter, remainder with.
Opening day, out with Jimmy – and it was like summer! Ended up in our shirt sleeves.
Went down with Dougie, first day of the season. Not much fly – a couple of rises, and one fish hooked briefly.
Mostly pics taken when out photographing the leaping salmon. Some use of neutral density filters to slow the shutter down and give the blurry water effect.
