A few mayfly coming off, but the fish yet to tune in to them. Hard work with dries in bright sunshine. A few alders provided a bit of sport.
A few mayfly coming off, but the fish yet to tune in to them. Hard work with dries in bright sunshine. A few alders provided a bit of sport.
In the middle of an algal bloom, but the wind had blown it all to the east end, and the top half of the water was crystal clear.
Mayfly hatch starting to tail-off, but fish still very much interested in them.
A very blowy day, with not much doing, mayfly feeding-wise.
A day of autumnal dry fly fishing with Jimmy. Decent sport to hoppers, Shipmans and Klinks.

Mayfly hatch going great guns, though a sudden drop in air temperature coupled to very warm water rather knocked the fish off the top.
