Stuff in the air

Selected shots from the shooting albums – where the shutter has opened at just the right time to capture lead shot, or wadding, or flash in mid-air. I was surprised how easy it is to catch the lead – 1/350 s to 1/500 s is all that is required – plus the luck of the timing. The lead is maybe in the air for 1/3 s, and the camera shoots at about 5 frames per second, so it has a reasonable chance.

Tomdoun

A three day ‘fact-finding mission’ with John Wastle in 2009.  Good sport on Loch Quoich with hard-fighting brownies.  If you’ve ever wondered where clegs come from, this is the place!
