This outing was cancelled by the fishery on Thursday, 29th May, due to forecast high winds. Come Saturday morning, that looked to be a mistake. However, the winds increased steadily through the day. A check with Windfinder Pro showed a corridor of yet higher wind strength, from The Borders, up through East Lothian. The map showed 20 mph+ in the area. Dial in a bit more for the elevation up in the Lammermuirs, and it was probably a very good call!
