A good place to finish the season.
A good place to finish the season.
A day out with Steve Greig, over from California for a visit. The mayfly have started – we managed to tune-in on some mayfly feeders behind Inch Talla – though the one we spooned had more shucks than anything – no duns in him, and just a single nymph. Meanwhile, the open water buzzer-feeders are…
A few mayfly coming off, but the fish yet to tune in to them. Hard work with dries in bright sunshine. A few alders provided a bit of sport.
Mayfly in sporadic numbers, throughout the day. Good cloud cover, though distinctly cool for mid June. Some fish feeding on scrotty wee buzzers.
