Scottish National Gallery

A few interior shots of the Scottish National Gallery on The Mound, plus a few of some of my favourite paintings.  Most shots taken with the EF 24 mm f2.8 IS lens.  This allows hand-holding at shutter speeds as slow as 1/3 sec, making indoor flash-free shots at low ISO a breeze.  Later shots taken…

Newhaven 11 Feb 2016

I was passing the harbour on the 10th and the spring tide was so high it was half way up the legs of the benches along the front.  I checked the tide tables and it was due to be the same height on the 11th.  I went back with the camera to get some shots…

Strath Braan 29 October 2015

A stop at Buchanty looking for leaping salmon, but my timing was out by a day – river too high and fish not attempting it.  So, took a few shots and headed up the Sma’ Glen to Strath Braan, where I got some shots of the Braan and the surrounding woodland.
