Adam Marr's photos on the Butterstone outing of 29 July 2006.

Camera: Nikon D70s

18mm - 1/500s @ f5.6

Adam finds a use for the wide-angle shot

Wide angles often give you a wee touch of barrel distortion - spot the curvature of the earth!

29mm - 1/40s @ f20

Canada geese have a habit of flying into our photographs at Butterstone!

Full marks to the camera -- it was on auto program mode, spotted the geese and stopped-down the aperture to keep everything in focus.

It's only the resulting slow shutter speed that is giving some motion blur in the moving birds

50mm - 1/200s @ f7.1

Strangely, although no one else in our club caught a brownie, Cap'n F hooked 3 -- all on boobies!

(A mighty) 400mm - 1/250s @ f5.6
